Biografie
Manolis Kaklis was born in the episcopate of Rethymno and deals professionally with lute from 1969.
From a very young age he had musical hearings, like Mpaksevanis’ and Nikos Manias’ that influenced him deeply.
Their technique elected him as one of the most important representatives of Cretan musical tradition.
He was also distinguished for his interpretation in songs. He has a rich discography and has collaborated
with big artists like Nikos Manias, Rodamanthos Androulakis, Zach. Melessanakis, Than. Skordalos, etc.
He also has a permanent presence in the Cretan centres of the island, of Greece generally but also abroad.
